Thanks to d&b’s new ArrayCalc Viewer app, live sound engineers and techs can monitor a d&b loudspeaker systems right from a smartphone. The app interface presents key information needed for positioning and flying the various elements in a d&b system in a quick and easy format, including all relevant rigging, setup, and system details. Other data provided includes splay angle, amplifier channel ID and cabling information, flying frame height, frame angle, horizontal aiming, and more. Any updates to the system design can be instantly shared with each user for a streamlined approach to rigging. d&b launched ArrayCalc Viewer at Prolight + Sound 2017, and the app is available for both iOS and Android platforms. Also released at PL+S was the new R1 Array verification tool which identifies the position of a loudspeaker in an array then compares its order within the array to the one in ArrayCalc. d&b J-, V- and Y-Series systems all benefit from the new software solutions.
