dBTechnologies Updates DVA T Firmware

Friday, 2 June 2017
dBTechnologies DVA T users can benefit from a new updated version of DVA T8 and T12 firmware.

dBTechnologies DVA T users can benefit from a new updated version of DVA T8 and T12 firmware. Essentially, the update introduces Finite Impulse Response (FIR) filters, with the benefit being cleaner crossover points, and high/mid frequency compensation. A linear-phase crossover also allows better coupling between arrayed modules. The optional update allows DVA T systems to maintain better high frequency coherence in an array, resulting in better sound performance even at further distances. The firmware update must be made through dB Technologies’ Network control software.

In digital audio domain, FIR (Finite Impulse Response) filters operate on frequency response while maintaining a linear phase. dBTechnologies’ R&D developed this new firmware for DVA T8 and DVA T12 in order to linearise phase response, to optimise transducers crossover, high-frequencies compensation and mid-frequencies compensation referred to splay angle between modules.

Login or create your account on the dBTechnologies website to download Network control software allowing you to update all your DVA systems.

dBTechnologies Network 3.2.0.5523

We strongly recommend to read instructions and warnings at dBTechnologies Network product page before upgrading your DVA systems.

Upgrading your DVA systems with FIR filters is optional and you can download and install updated version for dBTechnologies Network avoiding any firmware update.
