Earlier this month, NAS Solutions director Shane Bailey took a trip around Australia with a few key d&b audiotechnik staff. From the perspective of NAS’s long-standing relationship with the premier audio manufacturer, the tour was meaningful for a couple of reasons.

Firstly, it was the first time Stephan Greiner, CSO from head office in Germany, and Amos Jen, VP of Sales for APAC, had traveled down under. As the new direct d&b support contacts for Australia, Stephan and Amos were able to meet Aussie customers, resellers and dealers in person. Among the tour ‘stops’ were Andy J Sound, Madzin Productions, Eighth Day Sound, ICC Sydney, JPJ Audio, Jay Productions, Western Sydney Stadium, Influencers Church, Auditoria and Elite Event Technology, along with a number of other finished installation customers.

“Australia and New Zealand are very important and significant markets for d&b,” comments Shane. “It’s always good to have local customers know that NAS Solutions is fully supported by d&b in our efforts locally, and d&b is very appreciative of the support that our customers provide to them.”

Additionally the trip allowed Mike Case to wrap up his role as Managing Director for APAC — one which saw him relocate from the UK five years ago to take the Singapore team from a small startup to a significant regional office with 20 odd staff. Now Mike will move back to d&b’s UK office in a new role directly supporting and encouraging d&b use with artists and engineers globally.

The d&b trio was joined by Michael Aldinger, CFO from the APAC office, to drop in at NAS Solutions’ Melbourne HQ for a day. Business planning for 2020 was discussed and the growing NAS head office team mingled with the d&b staff over a BBQ lunch.

Stephan from d&b concluded the trip by presenting NAS with a distributor award for many years of success and partnership. NAS is proud and grateful to d&b for our award. We look forward to many more years bringing d&b’s cutting edge live and installed performance sound solutions to the Australian and New Zealand markets.
