CASE STUDIES & TESTIMONIALS
Real-World solutions for every project.
Big Screen Bang for Buck at Iona College
11/4/25NASStage three of their four stage plan finished up in late 2024 and delivered, amongst other things, a duplication and expansion of the existing gym. It doubles as a performance and presentation area complete with 1000 retractable seats, a new PA, AVoIP system, and two magnificent LED screens flanking the stage.
Carey Grammar Theatre
4/4/25NASFactory Sound was engaged to design an audio upgrade. A key design decision was to opt for d&b Y-Series point source loudspeakers instead of a line array. Sure, line arrays are common in theatre spaces, but this is a particularly narrow venue plus it has a glass balcony front – a no-go audio zone.
The Round Performing Arts Theatre
10/3/25NASWhitehorse City Council in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne knew it needed to replace its aging Whitehorse Centre, bit the bullet, and fully funded the necessary $78m investment to create a new landmark venue for its community.
World of WearableArt
19/12/24NASThink of Cirque De Soleil getting together with the most spectacular of those Paris fashion shows – and everyone has to hang upside-down from a trapeze swing.
Gilgamesh at Carriageworks
4/12/24NASThe Sydney Chamber Opera’s contemporary production of Gilgamesh pushed the boundaries of opera sound design. Sydney-based sound designer Bob Scott was enlisted to bring this vision to life using d&b audiotechnik’s Soundscape system, which had previously proven successful in past productions.
City Recital Hall
4/12/24NASAs well as achieving the desired acoustic performance, the project team – including NAS, specialist rigging provider, HME, and City Recital Hall's own technical staff – has successfully managed the venue’s architectural constraints, rigging limitations, and weight restrictions to deliver a custom coloured, discrete yet powerful system.
Citipointe Church
6/11/24NASA big investment in a d&b V-Series loudspeaker system in recent years will meet its audio needs for many years to come. Even more recently the church has made a large investment in Absen LED display technology, a key technology plank in contributing to the church’s vision.
Zinc at Fed Square
18/10/24NASZinc’s aging AV system struggled with fundamental issues, particularly concerning sound quality. The venue’s harsh acoustics posed a significant challenge — once 500+ guests filled the space, audio intelligibility became seriously compromised.Â
Kmart Distribution Centre
17/10/24NASNot surprisingly, within the whole space the facility is split into various zones, each of which would pose different problems according to the activities taking place in that zone and factors such as ambient noise – for example, some sections might use heavy forklifts and machinery while others are just shuffling around boxes of paper clips.
